Low Gross/Low Net (Individual, Blind Draw). $20 entry fee. Individual stroke play, scoring both low gross and low net leaderboards. We will randomly draw teams.

Individual Stableford (Choose your twosome, if you want) - The strategy in Modified Stableford formats can be summed up in three words: Go for it. With the goal of accumulating more points than your competition, your NET score on each hole will get you: 6 points for a hole-in-one, 5 points for a double eagle, 4 points for an eagle, 3 points for a birdie, 2 points for a par, 1 point for a bogey, and 0 points for everything else.  Players will receive 80% handicap.

Blind 5 Holes (Blind Draw). In this individual stroke play format, only 5 of the 9 holes you play will count towards your score.  You will not know which 5 holes they are until you are done with the round.  We will score both low gross and low net leaderboards. Foursomes will be drawn randomly to minimize repeat pairings from the season so far. 

Drop Worst 2 Holes - (Individual event, pick your group).  In this format, your worst two holes (two holes with the highest score) are not counted. Payouts for gross and net leaderboards.. 5:30 shotgun. $20 entry fee.

2-Man Best Ball (Team, pick your partner). Thursday, 5:30 shotgun. $20. Each player plays his ball from tee to green. We will score both gross and net leaderboards. We will be playing the back 9. Please make sure both members of your team register for the round!

Pro-Am Format (ABCD Blind Draw). In this game, four-man teams will be drawn blindly (ABCD).  On each hole, the best 1 gross ball and the best 2 net balls of the 4 will count towards the team score. Payouts will be based on the overall team scores. For any teams that end up with only three players, a player from another group will act as a blind. Players will get 90% handicap.

Red White & Blue (Choose your group). In this game, you must play three holes from the RED tees, three holes from the WHITE tees, and three holes from the BLUE tees (women's forward).  Choose wisely. We will be paying out low gross and low net (90% handicap, applied to white tees) leaderboards.

The Lone Ranger tournament format (Man in the box) is a fun game that is played with foursomes. Every hole, one player in that foursome is assigned to be the Lone Ranger. On the 1st hole, player in position 1 in the pairings will act as the Lone Ranger. On the 2nd hole, player in position 2 in the pairings will act as the Lone Ranger. On the 3rd, player in position 3. On the 4th, player in position 4. The cycle then repeats throughout the rest of the round.

When playing this format, you will count the Lone Ranger's ball as well as the best ball of the other 3 players. So, two balls will be counted on each hole.

You will have to choose only three clubs to use for your entire round. Yes, the putter counts but is not necessary. You must declare your 3 clubs to your group.

Here are the details:

• JMC members may join at any point during the season and must be paid in full before being eligible for the prize.  
• Hole-in-one (HIO) eligibility extends ONLY to the following JMC-only events: weekly Thursday evening events (including Thursday events moved to other nights of the week), Brown & Gold Cup, and the Club Championship. Hole-in-ones outside of these events do not qualify for the pool.
• The $20 entry fees, less processing fees, will be applied to the following:
  • Cost of a JMC HIO trophy/display case for the winner.
  • The remainder of the pool will be paid 50% to the player via check, and 50% towards a bar tab immediately on the event day or an evening to be determined shortly after the hole-in-one. Any amount not spent at the bar will additionally be awarded to the player. Open-bar tab will be cut-off if the 50% dollar amount is reached.
• If/when a HIO is achieved, another entry fee will open immediately, and the process will start over.
• All HIO club members and guests of the winner are invited to the gathering. Additionally, if the event occurs same-day as the HIO, all present may benefit from the bar tab. 
• Eligibility is only for the current season. At the end of the season, the current prize pool will roll over into the following year's pot.  All members wishing to play the following season must re-enter the next year to continue eligibility for the prize pool. All entries in the HIO club the following year will have eligibility to win the entire HIO prize.

 

Example:

The current pool, after fees and trophy, is $920.  Bob gets a hole-in-one on a Thursday night.  Bob will receive cash or a check for $460.  The remaining $460 will be applied to a bar tab at the party in his honor.  After tab and tip, Bob spends $350.  He will receive the $110 cash remainder.
